The following report has been received from Sentinel Rynae Sorrowscream on events that passed in Winterspring.
Word reached us that strange Dwarven activity was spotted in Winterspring and even though this is not too uncommon, we also heard that loud explosions where coming from near the Owl Wing Thicket where an altar to our Goddess rests. We quickly gathered a small group containing Sanaje Skyshadow, Adelaine Nightchill, Rynea Sorrowscream and Mirael Shadowheart.
Once we arrived at Winterspring, we first headed to the Dwarven camp, Dun Mandarr. The camp was destroyed again and there was evidence that the Owlkin from the Thicket were responsible. We now believe they attacked the camp to defend the altar itself. We quickly headed there and noticed numerous Dwarven tracks along with many Owlkin ones and at the Thicket itself a gruesome picture was displayed for us.
Most of the defending Owlkin were slaughtered and we found evidence of mining activity in the caves. But all of the horror was nothing compared to what we found next. The altar dedicated to our beloved goddess Elune was in ruins. The stone had numerous slashes on it from smaller weapons and it seems in the end some bolts were forced into the stone to slowly crack it and with all of the abuse in the end the altar gave in.
The area was surrounded by Dwarven tracks but no actual Dwarf was found nearby. Later in Everlook, Skyshadow spoke to the flight master who told her of a small group of Dwarves who arrived in Winterspring before. She seemed to have recognized one of their description.

The report raises some rather important questions and the Dwarves has some very elaborate explaining to do. One can only speculate as to the motives for this desecration, but I would not be surprised if this was reprisal for the alleged kidnapping of Senator Gogól Irondawn.
If the evidence speaks the truth, it would seem we need to discuss the permissions for future Dwarven presence in Kalimdor – or revoking thereof.
